Sale Check
A struck-through price is a claim, and EU law is specific about it: an advertised reduction must be measured against the lowest price the shop charged in the 30 days before the reduction began. We record every price change on the websites of the shops we track, so we can show what that price really was — and what each “was” price is being measured against. Every sale listed here was still running when we last checked the shop, within the past 3 days, so you can open the shop’s page and check it yourself. Once a sale ends, it drops off this page after our next check.
What we found across 13 shops
- Priced up first 53
- The struck-through price was charged only briefly, or never, before the “sale”, and the sale price is no lower than the lowest price in the 30 days before the sale began.
- Saving is smaller than shown 115
- You do pay less than the lowest price in the 30 days before the sale. The saving is just smaller than the struck-through price suggests.
- Old price, not recent 780
- The shop did charge the struck-through price, but it was not the lowest price in the 30 days before the sale, and that lowest price is what an advertised “was” must refer to.
- On sale again and again 334
- This product keeps returning to the same offer, or never leaves it. When a sale repeats like this, the lowest price in the 30 days before it is usually the previous sale price, and that is what the struck-through price should be measured against.
Based on continuous price records since 01/07/2026. Where our records do not cover the full 30 days before a sale, we make no claim at all.

Sale Check reports what we observed, not what a shop intended. Prices change constantly and our records, though continuous, are not a shop’s own books — a shop that believes a finding is wrong can get in touch and we will re-check it against the page we archived.
